Anchor Stones are elegant building blocks made of stone. Playing with them takes you back to the time of cathedrals and castles.
Anchor Stones are made almost the same way now as they were over 100 years ago. Ground quartz, chalk, linseed oil and coloring are mixed, then pressed into precisely shaped molds. Even the instruction books and wooden boxes that hold the stones are reproduced from the original packaging.
There are several different sets in the Anchor Stones line. To start off, choose Set 4 (55 pieces) or Set 6 (110 pieces). These sets contain instructions for several structures, and contain all the pieces needed to build them.
When you're ready to grow, you can add accessory kits to your collection. Set 4A, when added to set 4 will give you the pieces to build all the buildings in set 6. Sets 6A, 8A, 10A, 12A and 14A can be added to set 6, in order, to allow you to build more complex structures. Many building plans are provided with each accessory set.
Once you get the hang of it, you can design your own architectural masterpieces!
Each set comes in a sturdy hard-wood box which contains instructions for several different buildings. For each model, cross-sections of layers of stones are provided, as well as an illustration of the completed model.
